AirPods When Locating them in Find my Iphone

When i first bought them i thought they were great, but then i noticed when i couldnt find them they wouldnt locate for me or make a sounds or show on the locating item app it kept saying change rooms... Now i will be sitting here and they just starting making noice for no reason , if i walk near my friends phone it tells him in a notifacation that i am near by and he can track my movements on his phone i have a photo of it, he could see where i was and where i went in a click of a button apple didnt believe me now i have photo proof what the **** is going on and how come everyone else seems to know where my devices are but me, HuH they cost me a small fortune so i could always find them but this is getting to be a joke
