How do I fix clicks and static from USB-C to headphone jack adapter on iPad Pro 3 with M1 chip

Hi all, has anyone fixed/got a work around for this problem? I’m a pro musician using backing tracks at occasional solo gigs and when I plug my iPad into a PA using the Apple USB-C to headphone jack adapter I got cracks, pops, and static.
