Getting odd "holidays" on calendar

State events and odd things like "town meeting day" which is not a federal holiday show up. They didn't used to.

Yes, my iOS is current and no, there are no other boxes checked on my calendar settings (or on my husband's since we share our calendars). Any fixes other than having no holidays show up?
