What is the grey box which covers my typing on Facebook. This has started since Apple gave Starmer permission to snoop

This is what happens when you don't take the time to read past the first post. Had you done so, you'd already know that all you have to do is update the Facebook app as Meta, the parent company of Facebook acknowledged the issue and issued an app update last week, which fixes this.
Yes, me too. It kind of drops out of the box so you can see it clearly & select portions for editing.

I’ve had the grey ghost box for the last couple of days on my 14 Pro Max here in Australia.

My wife has the same problem on her new IPhone 16 pro max here in Norway.
Tapping away the keyboard does not help, since the grey box appears as soon as she writes again?
Could anyone please help us?
Really annoying! Had this since middle of Feb! Thought it was because they considered my posts inappropriate as I was ranting about Starmer and the influx of dinghy landings!😳

A grey box appears on facebook comments, when I type the presidents name- Is it facebook or apple causing this- or both?
It happens repeatedly when I type the presidents name
It happens here (US) intermittently on other apps as well as Facebook.

Yes I have been getting this but only on Facebook only when I am writing a reply to a post.
