How to stop Siri from responding with mmm, hmm and uh huh on iPhone?

I purchased a new iPhone and Siri is now responding with mmhmm and uh huh. It is so annoying. I don’t let my kids talk to me like that I don’t want my phone to treat me like I don’t matter. I researched it before posting here and the only response is that I have to say my entire request before Siri speaks. First, Siri is not that reliable I prefer to know he is listening before I speak. Second, I cannot talk fast enough to prevent the annoying sounds. Third, I cannot hold down the side button because I am driving and it is illegal in my state for me to hold my cellphone while driving. Fourth, why did the responses have to change? I was perfectly happy before the latest update. I want to know a true fix for this. Please let me know if I have to report it elsewhere. Thank you

You can certainly send feedback here:

Yes, speaking in one fluid sentence including the Siri trigger word is the way to prevent a response. If you have encountered an issue where Siri is not responding to you sometimes, then turn off Siri in Settings and turn it back on to set it up again. You should never have to pause after the trigger word and that pause will sometimes give you the response you dislike. For users coming from a Google or Alexa personal assistant, this is a hard habit to break, as you needed to pause after the trigger word and with Siri that is not needed.
