Why can't I find my downloaded movies on iPad?

I really cannot believe that no one has ever asked how to watch downl;oad movies to an i Pad AND THEN WATCH THEM!!!!!

I dowloaded a movie from Apple TV+ - but it is no where to be found in any menu on the iPad. I downloaded the same one to my my Macbook, synced both and it never syncs to the iPad.

I will not take my Macbook on a long flight to watch movies when my ioPad does everything else I want to do.
