Why are people repeatedly getting removed from my text thread?

I have not removed anyone, and neither have the others in the text thread, yet it has happened numerous times in the last few days. The message will say that I or others removed them (or that they removed themselves), but we all deny doing any removing. This is getting annoying and appears to be a known issue. When can we expect this to be resolved?
