Working on an old Macbook air

My MAC is 10 years old and I can't update to the latest OS. I am now having trouble as MS Teams - which i need to use for some work - is not updating so losing functionality. Also, every now and then my Bin says it has over 1TB of junk in it which seems to be old versions of my entire laptop from years past - but then that all disappears again. Any advice apart from buying a new one?

Sorry, but at some point, you will need to consider replacing this Mac with a new one. There's no way to get around this. If cost is the issue, there are some alternatives to getting newer Macs at a lower price point. Two sources would be Apple's Refurbished program and Other World Computing (OWC).

Which exact model is your Mac? What version of macOS is it currently running? Based on what you provide us, we can try to assist you with what options you may still have going forward with this device.
