Logic Pro has weak input/crackling sounds when guitar is played

I’m using a beginner UMC 404HD interface and a MacBook Pro 2024 m4. The sound coming out my speakers is fine but in logic it’s all crackled and muffled. Everything works fine in Garage band and I’ve tested the guitar and all cables. Anyone have a solution?
