Can't sync podcasts using the Apple Devices App anymore

So i used to be able to sync podcasts using the Apple Devices App, which was useful to me as i have an iPhone 5 that i use as a media device so i can listen to music and podcasts without being bombarded by notifications or calls, but recently i can no longer sync podcasts to any of my devices using the app. Was this some sort of update or a bug or something else that disabled this function?
