In car WiFi connected to dash cam all apps needing internet wont work

I have a dash cam that needs WiFi connectivity to upload videos to cloud and connect to my phone. I have iPhone 16 pro max. Even though all apps work on cellular when WiFi is connected to my camera the do not work even though all are cellular enabled. In order to use them like maps on apple car play I have to disable WiFi then use . This gets rather frustrating especially when driving and very dumb.

is there a setting that will cause apps when WiFi isn’t connected to internet to use cellular at global level? Some have brought up message with choice. Most it seems do not
