How do I determine if I have AppleCare+ coverage for my iPhone?

can anyone tell me if I have applecare+? It shows this at the bottom of my device but it also says I don’t have it when I check coverage. It’s doesn’t show that on my iPad and my phone was a gift so I thought it could be prepaid. I think it might be the 1 year limited warranty. I don’t know if I’m just being dumb but it’s super confusing.
