It seems as if this is a persistent issue with LG tvs after reading through these threads.
I've tried skipping as suggested on others posts, but still unable to play videos.
LG OLED55B3 tv, app and os are both up to date.
So looks like will need to cancel this subscription, as impossible to access content.

LG does provide these steps if you are having trouble with Apple TV.

The same issue with TV apps have been seen across all the TV manufacturers as well as the apps on them. The solution for any app not working correctly whether it is Netflix or Apple TV+, is first to delete the app and reinstall, and if that does not work, factory reset the TV. I have a LG TV and there is no issue with the Apple TV+ app, so well others have experienced it, I would not say that is a persistent issue. You only hear when there is a problem, you don't find posts on help sites saying everything is working correctly, Good Job!

Then that would be an issue with the Apple TV app on the LG platform, and all users would be encouraged to contact Apple support so they can investigate (this is a user forum). I am a fellow user and view Apple TV Plus regularly, the service is definitely working elsewhere so I can assure you it is not a scam.
Definitely not a scam I can access the Apple TV+ subscription fine on all manner of devices Apple and non-Apple alike.
If there's an issue with the LG version of the App, that needs to be verified so should be reported to Apple at
