notes only opens on desktop 1

I would like to open NOTES on desktop 3 and have not been able. Other applications open? I looked in system settings do not see any options. On Sequoia

When Notes is only opening on Desktop 1 instead of your preferred Desktop 3 in macOS Sequoia, this is likely related to how app assignments work with Mission Control. Here's how to fix it:

  1. First, navigate to Desktop 3 (using Control + right arrow or the Mission Control view)
  2. Once you're on Desktop 3, launch Notes (from Dock, Spotlight, or Launchpad)
  3. With Notes open and active on Desktop 3, right-click on the Notes icon in the Dock
  4. From the menu, go to "Options" → "Assign To"
  5. Select "This Desktop" to assign Notes to Desktop 3

If Notes still jumps back to Desktop 1 after this, try this alternative method:

  1. Close Notes completely (Command + Q)
  2. Go to Desktop 3
  3. Open Notes
  4. With Notes active, press Control + Command + F to toggle full screen
  5. Exit full screen (Escape or hover at top of screen for menu bar)
  6. Notes should now be "anchored" to Desktop 3

In macOS Sequoia (macOS 15), some app behaviors with multiple desktops have changed slightly from previous versions, but these methods should resolve your issue.
