Agreed. But you didn't say if this only appears on pictures made with your camera. It could be a problem with the display, with the camera sensor, or with a lens. Or, less likely, something else. The first three things means it has to go back to Apple, but it would be could to let them know which.

So, do the dots show up on a web site or something not made with your camera? Do the dots show up if you set the camera to different lenses, like 0.5x, 1x, 2x ?

I agree that Keith Barkley's suggestion of laser damage is quite possible.

No, but you could use "Clean Up" make them disappear.

The dots were magenta in color because the green sensors have been destroyed. The laser was probably a green laser pointer.

Have you taken pictures anywhere a laser was present? It looks like a laser burn.

You should be able to look back through your images and see when it started.

Is this only on pictures taken by your phone? Do you see them on the screen with any other content?

A screenshot would help.

OK-- that's more evidence that it's the sensor that's at fault-- certainly a hardware problem.

Sounds like the camera. If it wasn't like this when it was new, then something has happened to it. Laser is a good bet. You need to take it back where you bought it, I think.

Are the dots always in the same place, when you are not using the zoom?
