Older Apple TV not recognizing iCloud Photo stream

I’m trying to set up an older Apple TV. I think it’s version two or three and it’s telling me that my photo stream is not set up an iCloud but yet it is. I have another Apple TV that set it says it is and I’ve checked on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone and photo stream is set up in iCloud Apple TV is telling metelling me it is not. Does anyone else have this problem?

Unfortunately, that isn’t possible anymore, due to changes in iCloud. iCloud has changed, but the legacy system software hasn’t changed to accommodate that.

New system requirements for iCloud - Apple Support

↳ Recommended for Apple TV: tvOS 17 or later (model A1625 or later).

↳ Family Sharing: tvOS 9 or later (model A1625 or later).

↳ iCloud Photos: tvOS 9.2 or later (model A1625 or later).

↳ iCloud Shared Photo Library: tvOS 16 or later (model A1625 or later).

Notably these changes to iCloud that would be affected since 2023:

  1. My Photo Stream has been discontinued for all users.
  2. Advanced Data Protection for iCloud as an account property would invalidate some iCloud services on devices with older software.
