Album Artwork Screensaver in Sequoia is glitchy

Since moving to a new iMac have noticed that the album artwork screensaver does not work as smoothly as I was previously used to under Catalina - at the end of each album cover rotation there is a brief flash of another piece of album artwork before it then moves on to rotate another random album cover. No idea why it does this but it certainly is not a smooth process anymore.
