Should I upgrade to the M2 iPad Air (2022) with 80% battery health and ESR keyboard?

So currently I have the Air 5 (m1) cellular 256GB. And I've had it for about 3 years now. The battery health is at about 80%. I'm in school, so l used to have the Magic Keyboard until it broke, and now I have the ESR keyboard, which I like just as much, if not better, and is MUCHHHHHH cheaper. While the new 13-inch Air is my dream, I'm not trying to spend that much, so with it coming out, should I get the M2 because it will be cheaper?

The iPad Air M3 arguably offers only marginal performance improvement over the iPad Air M2 - the M2 itself being released only ten months ago. Otherwise, specifications between the M2 and M3 are essentially identical:

You will note that marketing collateral for the new iPad Air M3 makes performance comparisons with the older Air M1 - and not the M2. Both the M2 and M3 benefit for full support for Apple Intelligence features.

If you are cost conscious, when comparing like-for-like models, the Air M2 might indeed be a cost effective choice.
