Download file cannot find in download folder

I downloaded a file from my company’s app. After downloaded it I could not find it in download folder. Any idea where should be saved?

Get in touch with a System Administrator of your company and ask them who has developed the app and how does it work.

If you encounter any challenges with third-party applications, the best course of action is to directly contact the app developer for further assistance. Here's a brief guide on how to do it:

  1. Identify the app developer.
  2. Visit their website or app store listing.
  3. Look for their contact information or support channels.
  4. Clearly describe the issue you are facing.
  5. Provide any necessary information they may need.
  6. Follow their instructions and provide feedback.
  7. Be patient and follow up if needed.

By reaching out to the app developer, you increase your chances of receiving accurate and personalized support for the challenges you're experiencing. To contact an App developer --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

When you download a video on the YouTube app for offline viewing, it’s saved within the YouTube app itself, not in your iPhone’s general storage like the Photos or Files apps. This is a common approach for many iOS apps, especially those that deal with media or proprietary content.

Here’s why apps do this:

  • Content protection: Apps like YouTube often store downloads in an encrypted format to prevent unauthorized sharing or copying.
  • App ecosystem: Keeping downloads inside the app ensures the content can only be played through that app, maintaining things like ad support or subscription benefits.
  • Storage management: This lets the app manage its own cache and downloaded content separately from your device’s general storage, even though it still counts toward the total space used.

Other apps that do something similar include Netflix, Spotify, and Apple Music — they all save offline content within their respective apps rather than your phone’s default storage locations.
