Ipad mini a17 pro (mini 7)

Hi. My partner bought an ipad mini 7 in Australia. I will be using that here in the Philippines. However, I’m shocked to know thay it was already an e-sim.

How can I use that ipad here in the Philippines? How can I get a number? Do I need to register my number in apple store?

If you can give me a guide and step by step instructions please.
