Mac OS Sequoia bugs

I have left a while before upgrading to Sequoia, so have the Safari and other bugs been dealt with please? Is it good to upgrade now as my Sonoma is starting to play up! (yes it's what they do, I know!🤓)

I was referring to Safari as well and have not experienced any problems, it is my most used app. I am unaware of the issues you are referring to that are specific to some kind of bug in Safari on Mac OS Sequoia.

There have been connectivity issues related to third party apps installed in the launch folders of a Mac that users think is an issue with Safari. Many types of apps such as Cleaners, AntiVirus and VPN's have had conflicts on the Mac, but that is true for any version of MacOS and removing those apps have solved the problem.

No issues for me either and I installed Sequoia a few days after it was released. Forum posts claiming bugs exist are often the result of lack of knowledge or misunderstandings of how something is supposed to work. Users also tend to think that if they have an issue then everybody has the same issue. Strength in numbers goes the saying.

If you wait for perfection you’ll never update. Are there real bugs in Sequoia? Absolutely but earlier versions of macOS that have been retired still contain some bugs too. There are no show stoppers though.

Bottom line is that there are no show stopping bugs in Sequoia and there never were. Annoying changes, glitches on individual installations, yes.

OP " Is it good to upgrade now as my Sonoma is starting to play up! "

Explain exactly what is meant by " Play Up " ??

That term is way too general and does not contain any actionable technical details

Generally, issues like Play Up issues may or may not carry through to the UpGraded Version

In some cases, it may amplify the already existing issues

what specific Safari Bugs are you talking about? Please don’t reference what a bunch of other people are having problems said actually what bugs are in Safari because I am unaware of anything that interrupts my ability to do anything on Safari.

I’m not having Safari issues and Safari is my goto browser. Again most of the complaints come from users of unknown skill or experience on using a computer.

After your responses it seems clear you are afraid to update and believe all the stuff that’s posted here by other users. If you update and have issues we’ll be the perfect scapegoats to blame for telling you it was okay.

That’s okay. Stay where you are if it makes you less apprehsive. Good luck.

Your first paragraph lkrupp answered my query. The second was an incorrect assumption and unnecessary, the third just seemed a bit unkind to someone just asking for advice. Of course queries and complaints will come from users of unknown skills/experience, that is why they are asking for help!

I will update and I don't need good luck. Thanks.

Hi, looking for some advice if anyone can help.

Upgraded Mac mini M2 from Sonoma to Sequoia and now have a very messy and slow boot up. Had no problems with any iOS until now. Here's what's happening that hasn't happened before:

-Power up Mac mini and sometimes (not always) get black screen that seems to freeze, and eventually requires pulling power cord out of Mac mini then plug-in back in to boot up, rather than just using the power switch, and other times get Mac logo and load bar on black screen.

-Then the main screen appears where I enter my password, but now I get a load bar for a few seconds under the password box after entering password, then a black screen for a couple of seconds, then back to the main screen with another load bar...and finally ready to go.

Before upgrade, I had none of this and the Mini booted up very quickly. Sure is annoying to say the least.

Love to hear from you guys... thanks
