Red dot not appearing on Messenger after update on iPhone

Since the last update, the red dot on my face page for Messenger doesn’t come up.

Whatsapp red badge icon does not show anymore Since about a week my Whatsapp red icon to show there are new messages does not show anymore. I have deleted and reinstalled Whatsapp, changed settings, but it still does not work. Iphone SE with iOS 16.6.1 I hope someone out there has a solution, many thanks

Contact Meta for help with their software, Messenger is not an Apple product.
