Brave browser on MacBook Pro opens download window instead of websites when clicking links

Hi, I’m using the Brave browser on a MacBook Pro 14. When I try to click on a link in the browser, instead of opening the website, a download window for an HTML file of the website appears. The steps I’ve tried to fix the issue are:

Uninstalling and reinstalling the browser.
Using a different browser.
Deleting cookies from the browser.
Disabling Sticky Keys in the computer’s settings.

None of these have helped solve the issue. I should also mention that sometimes it resolves itself, but I don’t know why. I im attaching a picture of the download window that opens when I click on a website

If that's the case you have installed something that is causing the problem. See if it happens while you are in Safe Mode.

Just to add, if you right or control click on one of the links a contect menu will open where you can choose open in new tab.

It appears you are clicking on download links on that page designed to save a document to your computer.

I assume that doesn't happens on other sites.

Every link I am clicking in my browser suggests downloading the source HTML instead of redirecting me to the website.

Check with Brave help. I don't have that issue with Brave.

This happens with Safari and other browsers as well. It does not affected by the browser.
