Can fixing and selling used iPhone 3GS be profitable?

Hi, is fixing and selling used iPhone 3GS phones be profitable? They surely aren't rare but I feel like in a couple years they could reach a certain point where people just want to go back and have one as a collectible. Could fixing minor problems like display, buttons or the back and selling it with all the original intents/ packaging be a profitable idea? Thanks

The iPhone 3GS, introduced almost 16 years ago in June 2009, is obsolete.

In many parts of the world, there is no 2G/3G cellular service – without which it is useless as a phone. The iPhone 3GS is also pretty useless for running apps. It has a 32-bit processor, cannot update past iOS 6.1.6, and might not even be allowed to access the App Store (see: 32-bit processor).

If you still have one that works, you could use it as a music player, but there is no profitable business model to be had buying and selling iPhone 3GSes.

It would have a value of $0. iPhone 3GS is not capable of 4G/LTE, and 3G service has been turned off in most places in the world. As such, it can't even operate the most basic of cell phone functions, which is to make or receive phone calls. It's iOS version is so out of date, making it impossible to run most apps. Would you consider buying a phone which can't make phone calls or run most apps? I sure hope you wouldn't. And I would hope you wouldn't try to sell it to some poor unsuspecting person who has no clue it can't function as a phone anymore.

Recycle the phone responsibly. It has absolutely NO value at this point.
