(SOLVED) iPhone Mirroring: iOS May Apply the Wrong Keyboard Layout (US/UK) When Typing from Mac
Issue:
When using iPhone Mirroring to type on an iPhone from a Mac, iOS may not apply the expected keyboard layout. Instead, it appears to default to a US/UK layout, even if the Mac’s keyboard is different.
Example:
- The Mac has a non-US/UK keyboard.
- The iPhone is set with either (and/or):
- a different keyboard from the one on the Mac ;
- multiple keyboards in various languages, with one or more layouts ;
- a bilingual keyboard.
- When typing via iPhone Mirroring, iOS seems to apply a US/UK keyboard layout, causing unexpected characters to appear.
