Is an A1243 keyboard compatible with Apple Model 1644?

Is an apple a1243 wired mac standard usb keyboard numeric keypad an acceptable replacement for apple keyboard model 1644?

Unfortunately my keyboard got tea spilled on it and is not working. :(

I'm looking to get a used keyboard because our Mac will need to be updated/ replaced before too long.

Thanks so much for your advice!

The Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (A1243) was produced for a decade from 2007 and was contemporaneous with your Mac's (iMac?) now waterlogged Magic Keyboard (A1644) which was the first Magic KB model and introduced in 2015. The USB/wired one will be fine. I've supplied one of these to a family member who uses it with a 2015 iMac.

Was your tea made with a tea bag or loose leaf in a pot? Earl Grey or English Breakfast? We need to do some research about the capability of Apple keyboards to withstand the better of these two brews (pot tea).
