My iPhone XR internal speaker volume is barely audible

My iPhone XR internal speaker volume is barely audible but external speaker seems normal. Have tried the tips and ideas I have found. Turn device off and on, turn airplane mode off and on, turn ringer switch off and on, looked at various settings, had wife call me and tried to turn volume up while talking to her. No luck so far. Any one know anything of this issue?

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support
