iPhone storage full despite purchasing iCloud + storage

Despite paying extra for my iCloud subscription, which offers 2 TB of space, my iPhone, connected to iCloud, shows no available storage. As a result, I can’t download apps, update my phone, and it's even glitching when I try to use copy and paste from the keyboard.

Can someone help me navigate this frustrating issue that continuously disrupts my workday? Is there a setting I'm overlooking? Is there an additional hidden backup feature that I'm not aware of? I don't understand why I can't fully utilize my iPhone, especially when I assumed it would be accessible through iCloud.

You cannot add storage space to your device. Space in iCloud is used to synchronize your devices on your account. You may be able to reduce your storage use on device by optimizing photos (settings > photos) and by deleting photos, videos, apps, data, etc. from the device.
