Mounting an iMac on the wall.

I want to have a "cleaner" desk top of my office desk and get rid of the stand and put a mounting bracket on the back of the iMac (and a swing arm thingy). My actual desk top is quite depthy (about three and a half feet). I can easily hide all wires along this swing arm and then into the wall --well actually only the power cord-- but i do have a cool Bose audio system--GREAT sound-- that only has the one wire that plugs into the headphone jack).
Anyone have their iMac mounted on the wall of their office desk area? Yes, ... i have youtubed the project but their isn't really any good vids on this. What brand of swing arm do you recommend? Yes, ... i know that i need to buy a mounting bracket from Apple. That is no problem. How exactly does one remove the stand from an iMac? Thanks for your input!!!

mac, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

It depends on which iMac model you have. If it's pre-Late 2009, then all the solutions I've ever seen involve the stand just kind of hanging freely, looking kind of stupid. Probably because getting the stand off on those models is far more trouble than it's worth. The newer models support a somewhat easier method of removing the stand, but probably still more effort than it's worth. Besides, you can find some creative use for the stand, like as a place to hang things from.
