Can a thief access my notes on a stolen iPhone with iCloud lock?

Hi,

My iphone was recently stolen and I erased the data via "find my" and put an icloud lock on it. If I were to remove the device from "my devices", would the person be able to access my notes, etc? I am just wondering because I have passwords in my notes. I am thinking they would not be able to since they would need to sign in with my apple ID.

No, but they will be able to erase the settings on the phone and set it up again as their own to sell or keep.

The phone is gone, but you can really frustrate whoever has the phone by not removing the phone from the list of devices using your Apple ID.

If you do remove your phone, that is exactly what the guy that has your phone has been hoping you would do.

But, it's your call.
