Why is the App Store asking me to add a payment method to download free apps?
I have create my account and I want to download an app but they say I have to contact iTunes support

The problem appears to be that you have not set up a payment method yet. Since most apps, even free ones, offer upgrades or pay and in app purchases, you must have a payment method on file. Instructions are below:
