Unable to change my App Store region

hello, i recently moved from turkey to iraq, when i got to iraq i bought the new iphone 16 pro and i can not download anything with my old account, i can not change the region for some reason. i have no active subscription. and it tells me that i can not do that action at this time, its been really frustrating since i can not get chat support with a human. not through this website nor the apple support app. there is no number that i can call in my region. i tried messiging apple using imessage and yet again my region doesnt have that. i just need to change my account from turkey to iraq so i can use my new card

Open the Settings app. 

  1. Tap your name, then tap Media & Purchases.
  2. Tap View Account. You might be asked to sign in.
  3. Tap Country/Region.
  4. Select your new country or region.
  5. Tap Change Country or Region.
  6. Tap your new country or region, then review the Terms & Conditions.
  7. Tap Agree in the upper-right corner, then tap Agree again to confirm.
  8. Select a payment method and enter your new payment information and billing address, then tap Next. You must enter a valid payment method for your new country or region.*


Make sure to follow these requirements in order to be able to change your country or region


  • Spend any balance remaining on your Apple Account. If you’re not sure whether or not you have a balance, check your Apple Account balance.
  • Cancel any subscriptions that block a country or region change, and wait until the end of the subscription period. 
  • Wait for any memberships, pre-orders, movie rentals, or Season Passes to complete, and wait for any pending store credit refunds to process. You can cancel a pre-order.
  • Make sure that you have a payment method for your new country or region. See what payment methods you can use.
  • Redownload your apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books on any devices that you might use to play or read them in the future. Some types of content might not be available in your new country or region. Learn what types of content and services are available in your new country or region.
  • After you update your Apple Account billing address and payment method, you can upgrade your iCloud+ plan using the pricing in your new country or region.

We do not have access to the details of your account so cannot pinpoint exactly where the problem may be.
