Can I safely delete "Deleted Users" on Mac HD to reclaim storage space?

I have a couple of 'Deleted Users' on my Mac HD and they're taking up 500+ gig of space that I'd like to have back.

Can I safely delete those ?

I assume they're artifacts of an OS upgrade. The dates on the files isn't very recent (Sep, 2024 is the latest date for the user using the most space).

This is on my "iMac19,1" running Sequoia 15.3.1
