I just got an iPhone 16 plus (upgraded from 12 pro max) with iOS 18.3.1. There is a mystery notification badge on the lockscreen for my Photos app. I can't figure out what it's notifying me of and I can't turn it off. How do I get rid of it?

There were no new comments or shared pictures but I opened everything on my Photos home page and that seemed to clear it. It may have been a “what’s new” message from Apple.
This could be a new photo in a shared album or a new comment on a shared photo. You ma want to look at the Activity album to see new comments.

What does it look like? Just the Photos app icon? Other graphic(s)? Some text?
