It seems like you’re talking about iPhone "Mirroring" — if that’s the case, let’s clarify a few things.

  1. iPhone Mirroring and History:
    1. Screen Mirroring (AirPlay): When you mirror your iPhone’s screen to a TV, Mac, or other device using AirPlay, there’s no history or record of the mirroring itself on the iPhone or the receiving device. Once you disconnect, no one can see what was mirrored unless it was recorded separately.
    2. iPhone Mirroring on Mac (macOS Sonoma+ feature): This feature lets you control your iPhone from your Mac — but this also doesn’t leave a history. It’s an active, real-time connection that ends when you stop mirroring.
  2. Security Recommendations:
    1. You’re right — protecting your device is crucial:
    2. Never share your iPhone’s or Mac’s passcode/password. Sharing them gives full access to your data and settings.
    3. Don’t leave your devices unattended. Physical access can bypass many security measures.
    4. Use strong, unique passcodes and Face ID/Touch ID.
    5. Check AirPlay & Handoff settings: Go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff to control permissions for mirroring and ensure devices don’t auto-connect without your consent.

Avoid the following Don'ts...

  1. Don't hand over an iPhone to kids or a stranger without enabling Guided Access
  2. Don't share Apple IDs
  3. Don't Jailbreak
  4. Don't share sensitive information about your device
  5. Don't give in to Phishing
  6. Don't plug your device into airports and public places through third-party cables, and trust the device. Beware of Juice Jacking. (Especially in India)
  7. Don't leave your iPhone unlocked and unattended in public places like offices, schools, malls, etc.
