Why is my iPhone XR asking to verify payment method when downloading apps?

My my iPhone XS Max XR won’t let me download. Any apps keeps giving a message to view my verify verify my payment method. I don’t know why it’s doing this please somebody help me. I have my payment method in my account already so I don’t know why saying this message? I just need to download this app somebody please help

You will have to contact Apple directly for help. Please try the steps below:

To contact iTunes Support, do this:

1. Click on this link --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support

2. Select your country

3. Select: Billing & Subscriptions

4. Select: Subscriptions & Purchases

5. Select: Update payment method

6. Select a chat session or a phone call.
