importing photos in iOS 18.1

I can’t import jpegs from files on my ipad. I can’t find the import button any more. Does anyone know where it is?

Is it correct that you have a picture in the Files app on your iPad, and you would like to save a copy to the Photos app on your iPad? If that's what you're asking, then tap the picture in Files and choose Share


Then push the menu up so you can see Save Image,

and choose that. A copy will be loaded into the Photos Library, and the original will remain in the Files App. Check Photos to make sure, and then you can delete the picture from Files if you want to.
