Apple will never send a message like this, so you know that any messages like this are scams that are trying to trick you into buying useless software that will do nothing to help your phone, but it will slow it down. Or, worst case, the messages are trying to trick you into providing personal details.
Just ignore and delete any messages like this and keep working. NEVER click on a link in a message like this.

Thank you for your reply. I did have a problem with my phone and it looked as though my phone was searching through apps without intervention from me. I had to change my email password because I couldn’t get in. My friends also began getting fake messages from me via messenger & fake friend requests on Facebook. I changed my facebook password several times but the requests still continued. I wasn’t sure if someone had managed to get into my phone and how I can check or protect it.
It is possible that one or more of your accounts was compromised, but this would have nothing to do with a "virus".
