Battery widget on iPad Air 5

I just bought new AirPods Pro 2. The battery widget on my Home Screen on my iPad shows the iPad battery percent and also the AirPod battery percentage for both the case and the pods. This remains in the widget even when the pods are disconnected and in another room. How do I remove the AirPods when they are disconnected?

AirPod Pro 2 Battery Display Issue (Battery Widget) Recently my AirPod Pro 2 have stopped displaying the battery percentage in the widget app on my iPhone and iPad Pro. I currently have an iPad Pro 5th generation and an iPhone 11 Pro Max. I have updated both devices to the latest software update (currently 16.5.1). After updating I disconnected my AirPod Pro from both devices and waited a few minutes before reconnecting. I even removed the battery widget and re-added it. The battery percentage still is not displaying in the battery widget. Occasionally it will show the percentage for the AirPods, but it stopped completely showing the percentage for the charging case. See images below for examples. I do understand that if I open the case of the AirPods, I will be able to see a pop up showing the battery percentages. However, for the money I paid for all my Apple devices I should be able to see the battery percentages of both my case and AirPods within my widget.

Battery Widgets Showing Wrong Battery Percentage of AirPods When I connected my AirPods to my iPad, the pop-up that appears every time reporting the battery state of the AirPods displayed a different value than the battery widget. Attaching the corresponding image. Please assist me.
