Batch renaming in iPadOS

AppleCare rep said there’s currently no native way to batch rename in the IPadOS Files app. I found a shortcut, but it duplicates the file with the rename structure AND keeps the original file as well. I then have to manually delete all the original files. Anyone know of a different shortcut/ work-around or know how to edit the shortcut below to delete the original files?

Your best option is to use one of the better third-party File Manager Apps that offers this facility. An App that comes readily to mind, which I use regularly, is FileBrowser Professional by Stratospherix:

You would be well advised to review the extensive online Manual and help files to determine suitability for your needs.

You're very welcome.

While I have no personal experience of FileExplorer, it appears to be one of the popular third-party File Managers. My own preference for FileBrowser Professional (Stratospherix), in addition to its excellent functionality, is its privacy policy; no data whatsoever is collected. Many other File Managers, like many other Apps, collect personal and usage data.
