How can I set TextEdit on macOS 15 Sequoia to automatically save files on the Desktop?

When I save the first document with TextEdit on macOS 15 Sequoia the file is automatically saved on Documents folder and I have to change the folder on DeskTop for save file on Desktop. The other documents after the first are automatically saved on Desktop. How can I set it to automatically save files on the Desktop instead of the Documents folder?

In TextEdit >File> (Option key) Save As and click the caret if necessary and the drop down —>scroll down to Favorites> Desktop

it seems to remember your last selection... if you do not see it,try again and experiment there .

Thanks. This is a correct method. I usually do not use the Save or Save As command, but I save the document directly by writing the name on the Text Edit file title. As you can see the document is automatically saved in the documents folder, then I have to choose the desktop folder. From that point I would like the file to always automatically be saved in the desktop. Is it possible?
