What power source are you charging with? Is it at least 12 watts (an iPad charger)?
From your description it could be a faulty battery. Contact Apple support using the Apple Support app and they can run remote diagnostics on the battery.
How exactly do you charge? Overnight? When it needs a charge?
In Settings/Battery/Battery health what is the health message, and what is the maximum Capacity?
What are you charging with; an Apple or other name brand USB power source of at least 12 watts? A Qi wireless charger? An Apple MagSafe wireless charger?
If you go to Settings/Battery/Charging what are the settings? Do you have a charge limit set, do you use Optimized Battery Charging, or neither?
My battery is in normal condition, I charge it with an Apple wire and I have adaptive charging turned on
