Multiple Critical Bugs After macOS Update (Sequoia v15.3.2)

I bought my Mac Studio M2 Max 3 months ago.

After updating to the latest macOS version, I encountered multiple serious issues that are significantly disrupting my workflow:

1. Safari Can’t Download Files to External Drive

• Downloads start but never complete when saving directly to my external hard drive.

• Safari shows the error “The file cannot be moved.”

• Only a .download file appears in the folder.

• Google Chrome works fine, so the issue is specific to Safari.

• The external drive is not the problem, as I can manually move files to it.

2. Copy/Paste Stops Working in Finder

• When copying files from my internal Mac drive to an external drive, paste works only 1-2 times.

• After that, the Paste option disappears, and Cmd + C stops working.

• The issue only goes away after closing and reopening Finder, but then it happens again.

3. Magic Keyboard Touch ID Was Missing Before Update

• The reason I installed the macOS update was because Touch ID on my Magic Keyboard was not working.

• Before the update, the “Password & Touch ID” settings were completely missing from System Settings, preventing me from activating it.

• After updating, Touch ID appeared, but then new, even worse issues started.

4. Keyboard Malfunction After macOS Update

• After restarting my Mac Studio, the keyboard worked normally at the login screen.

• However, immediately after logging in, following a brief black screen, the keyboard stopped working correctly:

• Some keys (U, J, M, N, I, K, O, L on a German keyboard) started triggering random system functions instead of typing letters.

• Example: Pressing a key selects all text instead of typing.

• I didn’t change anything—this started immediately after installing the update.

• After hours of troubleshooting, I had to disable system security via Terminal in macOS recovery mode and reset everything.

• This temporarily fixed the keyboard issue, but I immediately discovered new bugs (Safari downloads, Finder issues)

5. Overall Experience: Unacceptable Stability Issues

I have never experienced such major problems with macOS before. This update has completely disrupted my workflow, forcing me to waste hours troubleshooting instead of working.

I need a fix as soon as possible. Please provide a solution.

Of course your experience is not expected behavior and most are not seeing this on their installations.

As for a fix there a couple of tried and true troubleshooting procedures.

First power down and restart your Mac Studio. Test

Try booting into Safe Mode which disables third party extensions, clears caches and performs certain maintenance routines. This often resolves glitches. Test

And for what it's worth I installed macOS 15.3.2 on my M1 Studio Max and have no issues whatsoever. So waiting for a fix might mean a very, very long wait. There is nothing wrong with the update. Something may have gone wrong during the update process on your particular machine.
