Undo send button disappeared

I found many issues like this with no solution.

I have one.

The Undo Send button disappears - or, better said, is hidden - under the activity tab in the bottom left corner.

In my case, the activity panel (Windows/Activity) was stuck on some moving messages tasks for weeks. When the panel is closed, the 'Moving messages...' info shows in the same place where "Undo send" should appear. Probably the "Undo send" button has a lower z-index than the Activity summary, that's why you cannot see it.

To solve, you need to rebuild the Mail index to clean the Activity panel. Follow these steps:

  • Close the Mail app and open Finder.
  • Hold the Option key to reveal the ~Library option.
  • Navigate to Mail > VX (where X is the version) > Mail Data.
  • Delete all files starting with “Envelope Index.”
  • Clear the Mail app from the library by going to ~/Library/Saved Application State/ and removing com.apple.mail. (Don't delete the folder itself, it's an alias, but the content).
  • Open the Mail application again on your system and wait for it to finish importing your messages.

By doing that my Activity panel concluded all the tasks and the Undo send appeared again.

Ciao!

Very interesting pierocostantini

I would be interested to hear what others say with using these instruction as a resolve.

I certainly have not seen the "undo send" in my Mail.app (lower left corner) running Sequoia 15.3.2
