Blocked contact can reach me on my Apple Watch

It does not matter what watchOS version is being run, nor what iOS version is on the iPhone. The latest versions of both still have this problem. Anytime you block a contact, the messages from that party stop on the iPhone, but continue to go through on the iWatch. Apple does not seem to understand that this is a setting that needs to be immediately conveyed to connected devices.

If one resyncs everything, yes, the contact will be blocked. That isn’t the point. The point is that if I block a contact, my connected devices should immediately update that preference! I’m blocking to IMMEDIATELY stop being spammed by the blocked contact, and while it works on the phone, the watch will keep on buzzing with each new message the blocked caller keeps sending. Resyncing my watch is not a fast process, and not an additional step I want to take every single time I block a caller.

Why does no answer acknowledge that there is no current fix for this problem, and actually

escalate it to the software development teams so this can be finally fixed???

Sadly, yes, I’ve reported this a couple times to Apple already. They like to refer me here for assistance. I’ll give it a try again, it’s just something I find surprising when there’s a question about this here from 3 years back with a thousand “me too’s that it still hasn’t been addressed in an update. Thanks for the link, much appreciated 😊
