Transferring money back from my Apple account

I transferred a large sum to my Apple account but made a mistake. Now I want to transfer it back. I read that is not possible. Is that for real? It’s still my money right? So I should have the right to use it as I please?

If you transferred the money with a debit card/bank account, then you can contact Apple directly and they can reverse the transaction. Otherwise any money added with a Gift Card cannot be refunded or transferred to any account.

Should be no problem then. The only time where I have seen an issue is when money has been deducted from your Apple Account, so reversing is not possible. For example, if you added $100 to your Apple Account and there is now only $90 in there, then reversing that $100 transaction is not possible.

The other issue is any delays in reporting a mistake to Apple Support. Wait a weeks or months and you’ve waited too long. You need to request the reversal within a few days of the mistake.

Which leads into Jim’s warning about funds being deducted. The longer it sits, the more likely it got used for a payment. When that happens, no transfer reversal.
