Hi,
If you can't send an email on your MacBook, you can try these steps:
- Check your internet connection: Make sure your Mac is connected to the internet.
- Check your email account settings: Confirm that your email address, password, and other settings are correct.
- Check your email provider's status: See if your email provider is experiencing an outage.
- Check your storage quota: Make sure you haven't exceeded your email provider's storage limit.
- Check your outgoing mail settings: Confirm that your outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings are correct.
- Restart your email account: Remove and then re-add your email account in Mail.
- Check your email service provider's documentation: Contact your email provider for help configuring your account.
You can also check for status messages in the Mail sidebar or top right-hand corner of the Mail window. A status icon, such as a lightning bolt or warning symbol, may indicate a problem.
If you're using iCloud Mail, you can also:
- Check that iCloud Mail is turned on
- Make sure you haven't exceeded your iCloud storage limit
- Use the latest version of software on your device
