Am trying to update EWS on HP Envy Inspire. My macOS is Montery 12.7.6. When I select Advanced Settings I get an error message 'connection not private' . Is there a safe solution?
Can AirPrint from other Apple devices and also android devices. Can't get printing to work from iMac.

Make sure the WiFi network you are on has a lock symbol next to it. One without is not going to be private.
Make sure the printer is on the same network.
If you want, you can usually hook the Mac via USB to the printer to avoid WiFi connection issues.

The wifi network is not the issue. I can print to the same printer via the same wifi network from all other devices including android. Therefore I can only conclude that the issue is with the Mac OS?
