Do not-downloaded iTunes purchases count if streamed on AppleMusic?

I purchased an Album on iTunes but I have removed the downloads from all my devices. I stream this album a lot. Do these streams count for chart credits? Thank you

Review the metrics here for chart ranking:

  1. Streams: The number of times a song is played matters the most.
  2. Purchases: Songs bought on iTunes count toward rankings.
  3. Engagement: How often songs are shared, added to playlists, or liked by listeners.

Every stream counts, whether you’re playing a song for the first time or replaying it a hundred times.

The Artist also has far more analytic data that they can see and will be updated when you listen to any of their Music.

You are free to use any Music Service you wish and that is your choice. If you are looking for what is best for the Artist, you may want to ask them. From a compensation perspective, you can see that Apple pays Artists more than twice the amount for streams than Spotify.

Well, I would expect from apple to be very clear about it. I mean, at the end of the day they are different platforms, iTunes and AppleMusic and I could use another application to play my downloaded purchases. I guess if it is unclear and I want to support an artist I can always switch to Spotify for example. So, they’d better come up with a detailed response, so the customer can decide where to turn to
