Why are apps affected by downtime counting towards Screen Time on iPhone 16e but not on iPhone 11 Pro Max?

So, I’m used to my apps that are affected by downtime not counting towards the screen-time timer (how much screen-time you have daily), but since i’ve gotten my new phone, these apps are now counting towards screen-time. This hasn't happened before. Does anyone know why it’s counting on this phone (16e) and not my older one (11 Pro Max)??

Always Allowed could be the culprit! Apps listed under Always Allowed won’t be restricted during Downtime, which means they can still count towards your Screen Time, even if they're not technically “in use” the way other apps are.

If any of the apps that are showing up on your screen time tracker are in this list, they could be contributing to the issue. You can adjust this by:

  1. Going to Settings > Screen Time > Always Allowed.
  2. Remove the apps you don't want to be counted during Downtime by tapping the red minus sign next to them.
  3. Make sure only the essential apps are listed here if you want to limit their usage during Downtime.

That should prevent these apps from being counted in your daily screen time tally. Let me know if you need help fine-tuning anything else!
